Opening the doors of Smith Built was a natural progression for owner Tyler Smith, who fostered his thirst for learning construction by working his way up in the industry.  With a passion for connecting people with beautiful spaces, Tyler harmonizes owner design preferences with the built and natural environment.

Prior to founding Smith Built, Tyler honed his industry knowledge and skills working for larger commercial and residential contractors known for their high standards of quality and well-earned reputations of excellence.  He has been involved with some of the most notable and logistically complex projects in Flagstaff in both the public and private sector.  From new construction to additions, renovations, and tenant improvements, Tyler offers the optimal blend of experience to add value to each and every project.

Tyler's direct, honest, and open approach is the refreshing basis of his communication and management style.  He has thoughtfully built a talented team that clients and colleagues alike commend for being accessible, approachable, and responsive to all of their project needs.

Outside of Smith Built, you will find Tyler spending time with his family and coaching youth sports, boating, camping, hiking, or fishing throughout northern Arizona and beyond.
